The Infrastructure Operations (Data Center) Team is the backbone of AWS, supporting the rapidly growing AWS business and customers 24/7. We are committed to maintaining the physical infrastructure of AWS, ensuring the standards for operational performance in the areas of safety, security, availability, productivity, capacity, efficiency, and cost.

Data Center Engineering Operations (DCEO) is seeking for individuals who are motivated, self-starters, eager to learn, passionate and committed to join us. You will spend 6 months in the trainee program and by the end of it, your progression will be evaluated to see if you have what it takes to join our successful team and be a full time Amazonian.

What You Will Do

The DCEO trainee will participate in Data Center Engineering Operations within an Amazon Data Center including risk management and mitigation, corrective and preventative maintenance of critical infrastructure, vendor management and metric reporting.

Responsibilities May Include:

  • Day to day data center facility operation work.
  • Data center facility change management work.
  • Vendor management and technical consultant work.
  • Facility event analysis.
  • EOP/SOP and emergency drill.
  • Emergency facility event response.
  • Local and global facility operation related projects.

Required Skills and Abilities

  • Any engineering related discipline.
  • Degree in Electrical & Electronics/Mechanical/Building Services/Facilities Management/any related Engineering discipline.
  • Data Center Engineering/Operations experience.
  • Interest in maintenance of a Data Centre or Critical space facility.
  • Attention to detail and logical thinking capability.
  • Self-study capability.
  • Ability to prioritize in a complex, fast-paced environment.
  • Eagerness to learn/Motivated/Self-starter.
  • Good communication (both verbal and written English) and coordination skills.
