The Programme


The Global Foodservice Channel Team is in place to provide strategic leadership across our 4 core global channels: Bakery, Italian Kitchen, Beverage House and QSR. This team is primarily designed to lead and accelerate effective strategy that ultimately enables the growth of our business with foodservice customers globally.


  • The role will be tasked to support the Global Channel Manager – QSR with the launch of Fonterra’s new products and improving Fonterra’s knowledge about customers in selected key markets

What you will do

Key Project:

  • Product Mapping & Benchmarking – Map differences between Fonterra’s current products, new products and competitor products
  • Develop framework (using desktop research) to identify F&B customers in selected target markets that are using the most dairy products, their brand positioning and what applications our products are being used in
  • Build deep knowledge of consumer trends, as well customer challenges and needs to inform longer-term strategies and propose creative solutions as needed

Selling Story & Tools

  • Develop value propositions from new product that will differentiate it from others in the market:
  • Build an overall selling story for new product o Develop packaging design recommendations
  • Create content for sales enablement materials such as videos, blog posts, competitive talking points that can help Account Teams in revenue generation

Activation plan

  • Design a global activation plan for new product:
  • Create pipeline for launch in multiple markets
  • Form a plan for in-market sales leads to use your selling story & tools with potential customers and create brand awareness in target market.

Secondary Project:

  • Along with another intern, work on a cross functional project to address one of our company’s needs and will present your recommendation to experienced leadership

Required Skills and Abilities

Key Skills & Attitude:

  • Marketing and/or Data Analytics, Market Research background
  • Savvy in interpreting trends and able to generate insights from observations and/or desk research
  • Strong communication and story-telling skills – able to communicate key findings in succinct and impactful manner
  • Passionate about food, prior F&B experience is a bonus
  • Positive and enthusiastic team player who can collaborate across cultures
  • Good balance of creativity and business insight
  • Strong project management skills with ability to get things done
  • Self-motivated and works well in a fast-paced environment
  • Able to speak and write in fluent English, Mandarin
