Professional Conversion Program (PCP) is an initiative jointly supported by Workforce Singapore (WSG) and Temasek Polytechnic (TP) and is aimed at building a pipeline of skilled manpower for Singapore’s biopharmaceutical manufacturing industry in anticipation of hiring demand.

The training programme consists of a 3-month structured facilitated training conducted by TP, followed by 15 months of local attachment with GSK.  

Due to the nature of the programme, we can only consider Singapore Citizens and Singapore Permanent Residents.  

A certificate will be given to successful trainees upon completion of the programme.

Biotechnologist - Non-Aseptic:

Participate in preparation, operations and completion of assigned process stages to ensure the production of bulk drug substances within established timing and quality standards.  

Ensure good housekeeping of the facilities so as to keep them in good operational order in line with current Good Manufacturing Practice (cGMP), safety and environmental requirements. 

Required Skills and Abilities

  • Must be a holder of Nitec/Higher Nitec /Diploma in Biotechnology/Chemical Engineering/Life Science.
  • Willing to work 12-hour shift or staggered 8-hour shift (depending on team).
  • Able to work in cleanroom with full gowning.
  • Able to multi-task and work under pressure due to work requirements.
  • Willingness to perform both hands-on and administrative work.
  • Team player.
  • Good communication skills.
