The student, as part of System Innovation and Software team and under the guidance of an assigned mentor, will undertake projects working on Infineon microcontroller and devices.

What You Will Do

In your new role you will:

  • Work in the area of Artificial Neural Network (ANN) and Machine Learning (ML) based system that is integrated with power supply and battery management system.
  • Set up the development and evaluation bench on the power control system.
  • Collection and preparation of comprehensive data set, training, testing and validation of model accuracy and actual design.
  • Apply ANN and ML techniques to modeling and validation of the process to target system.
  • Evaluation and report. 

Learning Outcomes: 

  • Build on the power electronics application know-how and bridging with AI technique.
  • Understand and undertake the importance of collecting and preparing/labelling data that is accurate, not biased and of adequate sample size and varied according to application boundary conditions. 
  • Evaluation of suitable models for the use case in power control system. 

Required Skills and Abilities

  • On track to attain Bachelor/Master/PhD in Electrical & Electronic / Computer Engineering with a research-oriented mindset.
  • Proficiency in programming language such as MATLAB, Python and C/C++ • knowledge in Artificial Neural Network and Machine Learning is advantage.
  • Strong interest in applications related to power supply and battery management system.
  • Is highly motivated and eager to learn on-the-job.
  • Is an independent learner and resourceful.
