John Holland

John Holland is a fully integrated infrastructure and property group. Operating across Australia, New Zealand and South East Asia, we have been transforming city skylines, connecting regional centres and providing vital infrastructure for more than six decades. We think there’s nothing more important than the health and safety of our employees and those we work with. Caring for our people and the communities we work in is fundamentally important to us as an organisation and there is no project or deadline that justifies risking lives or injury.

Our John Holland Global Graduate Program provides an opportunity to gain well-rounded experience both in technical and soft skills, whilst working for one of Australia’s leading and most diverse engineering, construction and services providers. We are proud that many of our past graduates are now in various senior roles throughout the business and we look forward to developing the next leader in you.

Throughout the two-year program you will be supported through soft skills development, on-the- job experience and training, and opportunities to build lasting relationships with senior leaders representing John Holland’s diverse operations. Our projects are located in both metropolitan and regional areas, so it is essential that you are prepared to relocate if required.

As a Safety Graduate, you will develop comprehensive knowledge of how we develop and implement safety principles and methodologies at a corporate level and how it translates to project level. You will gain exposure to our safety management functions through the rotations that you will undertake across our Infrastructure, Building and Rail projects. This role will provide the opportunity to analyse and identify safety and wellbeing issues to assist in developing new strategies and initiatives. You will gain hands-on safety consultation experience within the construction environment. You will play a part in ensuring that every individual at John Holland understands their obligations with regard to; the duty of care for people, community, Safety, Quality and Environment.

We understand that our greatest resource is our people. We pride ourselves on being a market leader in targeting training, career development and remuneration. We provide long-term career options within an equal opportunity workplace where we recognise the importance of flexibility and a healthy work-life balance.
