Trainee - GFI Sales Assistant

The Programme

MARK GFI Sales team provides Global Tier 1 Financial Institutions with multi-asset market solutions. It addresses their needs, offering bespoke solutions within multiple activities, including: QIS, Structured Hedging, Financing and Yield Enhancement Solutions.  MARK GFI Sales capitalizes on strong trading relationships and on the engineering team to deliver cross asset expertise.

What You Will Do

  • Support sales people in providing Tier 1 Financial Institutions with QIS, Structured Hedging, financing and Yield Enhancement Solutions and assisting in executing primary transactions (market intel, generation of marketing pitch, pricing, term sheet...).
  • Interact daily with the Trading and Pricing/Structuring Teams (for pricing requests).
  • Provide a high level of operational support to the sales (trades follow-up, documentation).
  • Be the safe keeper of the internal rules (accurate documentation, risk limits...), in close coordination with the Sales COO.

  • Solve business or operational issues related to the products sold with the assistance of the IT teams, back-offices, middle-offices.
  • Analyze, investigate, research, manage and resolve various requests from clients related to products and documentation (legal and commercial).
  • Ensure compliance with internal procedures and guidelines (SHB, clients on-boarding, credit risk checks, product guidelines, margin policies, restructuring policies, etc..).
  • Produce reliable reporting and ensure data management (including but not limited to, CRM and P&L data) used for management information production.

Required Skills and Abilities

  • Hold a relevant Bachelors or Masters degree in Finance, Economics or similar.
  • Reliability and rigor/attention to detail.
  • Capacity to prioritize and organize.
  • Ability to work under pressure.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Knowledge of market activities and mechanisms (rationale, pricing parameters, …).
  • Strong analytical skills.
  • Fluency in English is mandatory.

This is a fixed term 12 month Trainee contract with Societe Generale. You will form part of the team on a full time basis. In order to apply for the Trainee position please ensure you have completed your qualification and will be available to work full time for the duration of the Trainee contract.
